Club History
The Parrot Society of Australia (NSW) Inc. was established by a dedicated group of Aviculturist in 1982. The Society became an incorporated association in 1989.

The society was formed with the objective of promoting the study and conservation of parrots, cockatoo and other parrot like species.

The society has reached its objective and continues to do so through regular meeting of its members to exchange ideas & expertise and social interaction. The Society also runs a very successful annual Bird Sale that continues to grow in popularity.

The Society has held it meetings on the third Friday of each month and committee meetings on the first Tuesday of each month.

The Society makes a conscious effort to the meetings as informative as possible with a group of likeminded people, by having guest visitors speak on different topics and species of birds, these including conservation, housing, feeding and captive breeding of most parrot species.

Add to this the after meeting supper and raffle and you have a great night. With many members staying behind to discuss their situations and successes and always prepared to help new members as well as anyone with an interest in Aviculture.

The society also has many great supporters that help the club throughout the year and also help members who use their services.
